Who we are

What we collect, and why

When you subscribe to The Daily Word we collect your email address, used to deliver the daily reading you have subscribed to and to send you essential messages about your subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. If you write to us, we hold that correspondence. That is the whole list. We do not run advertising, we do not sell or share your information for marketing, and we do not profile you.

The services that help us

Four providers process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments and subscription billing), Resend (delivery of the daily email), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Workspace (our mailbox). Each processes your data only to provide its service to us. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it travels under recognised safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU and US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. Stripe sets the cookies strictly necessary for secure checkout to function, and only there.

How long we keep things

Your email address is held while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or your subscription lapses, we keep only what accounting and tax law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires. Ask us to delete your data and we will, within those legal limits.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, receive it in a portable form, or object to or restrict its use. Write to info@carysdiaz.com and we will act on it. You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.

Changes

If this policy changes in any way that matters, we will say so plainly on this page. This version is effective from 2 September 2026.
